It's all about, the renowned detective, Byomkesh Bakshi(The truth seeker) along with his companion, Ajit Bandhopadhyay, goes on solving cases.

I also believe that stories were quite condensed and didn’t capture the details.

The writing is oversimplified, to an extent that it fails to capture the tempo & suspense of the original TV serial. I felt slightly disappointed with this translation. I had already read Sreejata Guha “Picture Imperfect & other Byomkesh Bakshi stories” and wanted to catch a few more stories.
